Annual Individual Achievements 2003/04

• Alex Ingham won the Under 15 British Closed Championship.
• Isabelle Tweedle was a finalist in the British Open Over 35's event.
• Pat Kirton was a finalist in the British Open Over 65's event.
• Claire Baker, Isabelle Tweedle, Greg Pearman, Dermot Hurford, Pat Kirton, and Jim Switzer represented England in their respective age groups.
• Tom Richards represented England in the Under 19 boy's team.
• Joe Lee represented England in the Under 17 boy's team.
• Jane Allman represented England in the Under 15 girl's team.
• Alex Ingham represented England in the Under 15 boy's team.
• Jamie Mathews won the Rebecca Macree Trophy again.

• Talented Athletes Scholarship Scheme (TASS)
The following were awarded :
Emma Matthews - Bursary
Neil Desai - Scholarship
Jamie Matthews - Scholarship
Paul Rawden - Bursary

Colets are again senior and over 35 National Club Champions. Cannons Richmond Women's Over 35 team are also National Club Champions. Looking back on the past year I feel that Surrey has much to be proud of within the various sections that we embrace in squash. There are some aspects that we obviously can improve on, such as obtaining more sponsorship and improving the website but the past year has had many successes especially in the standard of play, and I look forward to next year being even more successful.



Congratulations to David Wardle

Congratulations to David Wardle who in the Christmas Holidays won the Under 13 Boys Irish, Scottish and United States Junior Open Tournaments. What a great way to end 2005 and start 2006!


British Open 2005

Surrey have 1 Champions and 4 Runners up in the British Open.

Congratulations to Maggie North for winning the Over 50 Women's Championship. Congratulations also go to Joe Lee the Under 17 Boy's Runner up, David Wardle, the Under 13 Boy's Runner up, Isabelle Tweedle, the Over 35 Women's Runner up and David Clarke, the Over 50 Men's Runner up.
