Winter Surrey and Racketball Cup

Date posted: 28 Jul 2009

Entry forms for both the Winter Surrey Cup and Winter Racketball Cup have now been sent out to the fixture secretary of each club, so if you have not received one by email or post, please contact the League Secretary tim [at] evolvedatasystems.co.uk as soon as possible.

We are particularly keen for any clubs who did not enter a team in the last Racketball Cup to consider doing so this winter. Or you might be able to enter extra teams? The more teams, the more divisions, the better the competition for everyone!

All entry forms must be received, with payment, by 23rd August 2009, to give us time to set things up ready for the leagues to start on 5th October 2009.

NATIONAL CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS 2009/10

Date posted: 13 Jul 2009

Entry form and regulations for the National Club Championships.

The entry form has been adapted so you can easily enter data into a spread sheet and email it back, hopefully saving time and effort.

The format for the Championships will also be changed slightly this year. We propose to run regional groups at the start of the season, with the winners of the groups moving through to a knockout stage. Those who do not qualify for the knockout stage will go into the plate competition. Hopefully this will provide more games for the club throughout the season.

Norman rolls back the years - read on

Date posted: 17 Nov 2008

Selby seals points as TWP St George's Hill snatch their first win of the season in the Premier Squash League.

Ross Norman, Squash legend and the 1986 World Champion who has not played top level squash for six years put TWP St George's Hill on course for a famous victory against local rivals Unisport Guildford at St George's Hill , Weybridge last night.

Norman was called up when local youngster Tom Richards turned his ankle in training and was ruled unfit to play. With several other players away playing international tournaments Norman was the obvious choice to keep the team competitive in a match they needed to win to have any chance of making the league semi finals.

Date posted: 20 Sep 2008

It is with great sadness that we hear of the sudden and tragic death of Neil Desai

Neil Desai

Neil was extremley friendly and very well repsected by everyone around him on and off the squash courts. He was full of energy always wanting to compete to the best of his abilities.

He worked hard with both his studies and on court. Neil was a bright young lad who had time for everyone and his enthusiam and love of life was embraced by all that met him.

The gentle giant of squash who had a big heart will be truely missed by one and all.

Our hearts and thoughts are with his family.

There will be a memorial for Neil on Saturday 8th November at 6pm at Tiffin Boys School in Kingston.
