Comunity Squash Coach Appointed

Jo Robinson has been appointed London/Surrey community squash coach. Jo is well know for all her work that she has done at Ebbisham Squash Club, so congratulations to her.

Well done to the Mens teams!

Under the captaincy and guidance of Neil Frankland, the mens first team secured their fourth consecutive senior county championship beating old foes Kent in the final. They have a long way to go to beat the thirteen consecutive senior titles in the fifties and sixties but its a great start. The over 35 men captained by Greg Pearman came second, as did the over 45 men captained by Paul Ekins. The over 55 team won their relegation group and remain in the premier division.

Marking and Refereeing Course

A Refereeing and Marking Course was held on March 5th at Purley Sports Club. Ian Wright was the Course Tutor and there were thirty attendees from various clubs in Surrey. It proved to be a very successful course and was much enjoyed by all. Ian is willing to do more Courses if required, and the Committee feel that it is important for all players to attend a course so that the standard of marking in the Surrey Cup and Surrey Trophy is much improved. If your club would like to hold a Course and are willing to let players from other clubs attend, the Committee are willing to pay the Course Tutors fee. The organisation of the course would be up to the club but we would advertise it on the website.
